Ayurvedic Medicine: a modern approach to health and wellbeing
with Dr Sam Watts D.Ayu, MSc., Cert.Gi, BSc (hons)

After leading a successful workshop at Fintry earlier this year, Dr Sam Watts returned to give another talk on Ayurvedic Medicine. Ayurveda is a holistic system of medicine using approaches such as dietary modification, therapeutic massage, detoxification, herbal remedies, meditation and lifestyle alterations not only to improve a person’s physical health, but also their emotional wellbeing and state of mind. Ayurveda is prevention-orientated and free from harmful side-effects. It treats the root cause of disease rather than just the symptoms. With a few small changes to your daily life, it’s possible to live the Ayurvedic way and reap the benefits. Ayurveda is not intended to replace modern medicine, but rather to give you the tools to treat your body according to its needs, leading to emotional and mental wellbeing and enhanced physical health. In this interactive talk we will be learning the basic principles of Ayurveda and how they can be applied in our own lives.

I would recommend this talk. Sam relays his understanding in a clear way and I have found Ayurvedic medicine very helpful. Sam always has time to explain things and is very approachable. Thank you Sam.
